The Body Finder

The Body Finder is the first book in The Body Finder series by Kimberly Derting.

The only thing that came to my mind after reading the body finder is Wow. The story the author created is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. I mean, a girl who can hear the echoes of the murdered... How interesting is that?? I just couldn't put the book down. Kimberly is so talented! In one book she managed to put a simple but dreamy teenager love story and a nail biting hunt of a serial killer. I loved that she wrote at every beginning of a chapter the perspective of the psychopath when he hunted the girls. The way she wrote, it felt so real, every time a chapter began I got chills. The entire week after I read the book I was completely paranoid. Violet's devotion to finding the killer, Jay's devotion to protect Violet and later, the killer's devotion to murder Violet were amazing to read. What I really loved about the author is that she was so original. I haven't stumbled into a book that is similar to The Body Finder yet, but most importantly I haven't stumbled into a book where the author doesn't feel the need to describe how the characters look. The only thing that we know about Violet's look is the she had curly and messy hair. On Jay we know only that he's hot but that's it. At first I was kind of annoyed by it but later I found it very refreshing, I could choose how the characters looked and I liked that. Anyway, the suspense was nerve wrecking and I really didn't know what was going to happen. I recommend the book to pretty much everyone you won't regret it.
