Whisper to Me

Whisper to Me is the third book in "Between Breaths" series written by Christina Lee.

Between Breaths is beginning to be my favorite romance series. Christina is an amazing author who is very talented at writing books about people (especially woman) with sad pasts who overcome it (no without a price of course). In the book, the main character- Rachel, who in college had shut herself from most emotions and slept around. But now she has to return home for the summer and there she has to face everything and everyone she ran away from. It probably sounds like a heavy and serious book but believe it or not it's not. This book is about a love story between Kai, her best friend's brother and her. He is kind of a screw up but starts to put his shit back together when he sees that the love of his life came back. In one night when Rachel needed someone to help her forget she turned to him and since then the whole book is about the fling that they have after that night. He decides to not come out with his feelings toward her so she won't reject him and run away, but what he doesn't know is that she begins to fall for him too.

This book was really good and hot and well written, but there were a few minor glitches. The first, biggest and only one I will bring up is that in the first book of the series (All of You) the author presents Rachel as really tough and badass who doesn't take shit from anybody, but in this book she gives Rachel a total personality transformation and it was a bit to extreme to be believable. I understand that the author wanted to show that Rachel has shed her shield and mask from college but she made Rachel way to vulnerable and easily controlled that it didn't make sense.

But even so the book was amazing and like the first book in the series I couldn't stop reading so I finished it in one day.

"Between Breaths" is the perfect series for people who love reading YA romance novels and you should all read it.
